Planet Nine Might be Real, Researchers Found New Evidence of It's Possibility

This ninth planet we're talking about is not Pluto. Planet nine spotted deep in the outer reaches of our solar system. Here is the information so far we know about this obscure -might be- planet.

It's all began with 2015 BP519, as described in a paper published on arXiv. Planet nine classified as an  "Extreme Trans-Neptunian Object". Because of it's size and distance from the Sun, this planet has been on the radar since 2014.

Meanwhile, this planet has a strange orbit. Which made the astronomer's team to track 2015 BP519 for more than three years. They found that 2015 BP519 has the most inclined orbit of any known Extreme Trans-Neptunian Object. It also travels as far as hundreds of times the distance between Earth and the Sun.

Researchers explained that the weird orbit of this planet may be caused by gravity of a distant planet 9 that would have to be four times the size of Earth, but ten times as dense.

However, this is not a quite sure thing. If more inclined orbits are discovered, that will only harden the idea that some massive objects is exerting a whole load of gravitational force on objects in the outer solar system.

That means we're not sure if there's really a new planet on our solar system yet. And even it is real, it will be hard to actually spot it, since this invented -might be- planet is so far away that one year would last Ten - Twenty thousand Earth years. However, the fact that we know mathematically about the solar system, i will be for sure affecting the research objects that we're researching, just like 2015 BP519.
